“Dream.Shift.Inspire” began well before The Great Convergence in Egypt over the 2012 Winter Solstice. We have been blessed all along our journey, bridging communities of dreamers in synchronicity, connecting exactly when we’re supposed to and where we’re supposed to, that brought the dream of this documentary and the lifelong dream of discovering Egypt to reality.
Upon arrival at the Mercure Le Sphynx Cairo, jet-lagged and hungry, Aliss decided to venture to the hotel bar to scour for a late night dinner and a drink. She never did find her dinner. What she did stumble into over wine was a pair of perfect cameramen, Roy Walker, and Taylor Beumel, who invited her along on a short trip to the Bazaar for a belt the next morning. The short trip turned out to be a discovery journey of a lifetime deep into the King’s Chamber, desert excursions by camel back, and the procurement of ancient blue lotus flower perfume. Unfortunately, the camera with the interior pyramid footage was stolen from the hotel. Very sad panda. We hope to be able to collect shared footage from contributors as well as the opportunity to make another journey back to this great land of ancient wisdom, a homeland.
We interviewed Tamer el-Shakhs, who led us this way with his dream, ten years in the making, a gathering of monumental heights in Egypt, on 12-21-12; Isis Indriya, the spiritual and cultural arm of the event that spanned eight days at the Great Pyramids and along the Nile; Jesse Flemming spearheading The Do Lab production team that brought together hundreds of dream makers, musicians, artists, light workers, healers, speakers, and brilliant Egyptologists to converge for a once in a lifetime experience in the Sahara desert, experiencing the Great Pyramids, partaking in ceremonies awakening times past, and whisked away to a gargantuan bedouin tent party fit for kings and queens, a feast for all the senses that film, photographs, and audio recordings can’t recreate except for the memory of being in the moment.
** Update: The Great Convergence has come to a pause… with amazing interviews with visionaries and musicians who made this documentary and Egypt possible… Dela & Brad Moontribe, Treavor Moontribe (Desert Dwellers), Tamer el-Shakhs, The Do Lab: Jesse Flemming, Isis Indriya, Jesse Shannon, Jamie Janover & reSUNator (Lezlie Sunshine Chang), Eskmo, Welder, Freedom Cole, Imagika Om, Scotty Zeitgeist, …. and so many more!
